Was wondering if anyone on the forum or anyone you know taken the challenege to complete a console collection (every game for a specific console?) I was thinking about it just to say I did it, but in this day and age, I think it's near impossible, but who knows? Is it worth completeting a console collection now a days (w/ the high prices of retro games etc...) I personally was wanting to do a Saturn Collection, but kinda chickened out Not my collection, just for illustrative purposes!

Well, if they're going to compete collection console, it should be at the Picture/Video Board if they're going to show pictures.

The only reason I haven't completed a collection is funds and only just having started being interested in this kind of thing. I like many others try to find really good deals but if I had to choose which collection to have it would be a complete collection of the SNES and Super Famicom if I could help it.

A daunting task indeed. It was only about five years ago that I seriously started collecting, meaning, I never bought crappy games up until that point. Now I'm up to my chin in "running out of space" and "looking for $500+ CIB games", but I put on my "been collecting since I was a kid" floaties on and my head is above the surface. It's great having a girlfriend who is very tolerant of (what others would call) "clutter" until we can move into a bigger place. So, to answer your question: Yes, in my eyes, being passionate about something that has brought you so much joy through out your years is worth collecting. As this post stands, I'm at 31% of a complete CIB NES and SNES collection. So here's to many more years of hording collecting. We'll miss these times when we can no longer do them.

Otherwise, it's probably more wise to just get a solid curation of good games in a collection SNES would be the console i'ld dream to complete just bc it meant the most to me. too bad each cart takes up so much space, a complete SNES set would be HUGE! It's also scary to think, where does someone stop? I'ld be so OCDish that i'ld then want to complete every game in box..... then posters, idunno.... =D

I think in my next youtube video I say how dope she is! My game room seems to keep needing more and more shelves.... but I can't stop! I want to complete a collection, but that day will have to wait until the lottery....lol, *sigh

I was planning a trip at the end of the month, but that might fall through. Rain cheque? I'd really love to get together with some fellow gamers, share some stories and maybe see some game rooms. You know, that's one thing I never see. A dedication video for the girl (and boys) behind the collector. Lucky for me, Stephanie's loves video games to. The lack of space is frustrating isn't it? As soon as you find space, it's filled in a month or two, then it's back to the box/closet for the least collectable games. I'm like you, I want a complete Nintendo collection with elements of Sega and other consoles.

When I first started collecting games, I thought going for a complete collection for any system was a daunting, silly task. But after collecting for quite a few years now, I have found the idea to interesting, as it offers a clear direction and set goals to accomplish, which I like. Its reinvigorated my love for game hunting and collecting to be honest. Right now, Im going for a complete in box n64 collection, and a complete cartridge only virtual boy collection.
