Nice to see you're here, Beardman. Not gonna lie, that FFII story made the eyes water. Reminds me of my old friend from grade school who ended giving me some of my best SNES games.

Nice to meet you all, my name is Kev. and I've been collecting video games for a long, long time now, and video games have been a big part of my life since I was little. My partner Sarah and I were actually both into game collecting before we met, and when we eventually moved in together and got married, it was a pretty big even to merge our individual collections. We still love hunting for hard-to-find items and treasures.
Looking forward to the Retro Gaming Convention to meet some new people with similar interests.

It's always rad to see another local collector join the site. I too will be at the rgc this coming weekend, so see you there!

Thanks for the nice welcome. Unfortunately, my wife is out of town for this weekend so she won't be able to make it to the Convention, but some friends and I are planning to attend and see what's all going on. I'm especially looking forward to seeing what is being sold by other retro aficionados at their tables. Maybe I'll find one of the two NES games we need to complete our set? I doubt it, but we'll see.

It was okay. There was definitely a good energy to it, and it was a bigger turnout than I expected. It was also nice seeing a bunch of vendor tables with quite a variety of older games to pick through, though I didn't find anything to pick up myself.
The parts I didn't like were having to wait outside for a long time to be let in because of the venue being over capacity, and it being really hot and sweaty once inside. The TV areas were kind of crowded together as well, so it was hard to spectate without being in the way of people constantly bumping into you.
