you see this thing go on in all collector markets. the reason these prices are so high is because there are so many of us collecting. however I expect to see a massive price drop all cross the retro gaming market as soon these games are going to become so unaffordable that people will outright stop collecting. after a few years of holding onto merchandise alot of resellers will cash out to get in on the new fad. so it might be a rough couple of years but things will get better. it happened with sports cards and comic books I truly believe t will happen with games too

I'm afraid this will be like comic books, which have NOT gone down over the long run since people started collecting it. Unlike comics however, there's this theory that in the next 25 years, the discs and carts that data is stored on might not hold anymore. I dont' know if that's true, but I bet there'ld be a crash if that happened! lol. I collect for the love, sometimes, love gets expensive! =D

I collect for the love, sometimes, love gets expensive! =D and your right comic book prices are still pretty high but I mean you have a comic now that might go for $300 used to go for like $1500-$2000 so while its still expensive that market did drop significantly. I've also heard this theory of carts and discs no longer functioning. I hope this not to be true but I have more hope for cartridges then I do the disc based game
