Has anyone like the music in the games that you buy a soundtrack from it to listen to? I only had one soundtrack that I got from the Ai-Kon which is Ehrgeiz: God Bless The Ring (PS1). I love the soundtrack from that game (and the game in general) that I couldn't believe that Ai-Kon has this soundtrack. It was totally worth $40 buck on that soundtrack.
I also had three other soundtrack comes in the bonus disc. It was Project X Zone (3DS) soundtrack, Suikoden Tactics (PS2) soundtrack, and Eternal Poison (PS2) soundtrack. Next, I am going to buy something on Ebay once my Step Brother comes over. I am going to get Dead Rising (Xbox 360) soundtrack because I freaking love that soundtrack and the game (Grand Theft Auto sandbox with zombies, ohhhhh that was fun). Derp. Last year I was lucky enough to head to Video Games Live and had a blast with that even though they didnt play some of the tunes I wanted to hear. As far as soundtracks there has only been one that I had bought which was The Last of Us. That main theme has got to be one of my favorites and it really sets up the mood for the game.

while i dont go out and purchase soundtracks I absolutely do appreciate Video Game Soundstracks from all eras. My favorite stuff does tend to come from the 8 bit and 16 bit era just because alot of newer music is very similiar to a score you would hear in a movie which is an absolute credit to the composers but stuff like that i need to be listening to it during an experience to really enjoy it. however i just outright listen to 8 and 16 bit games on my iphone all the time. some soundtracks you need to familiarize yourself with if you havent heard them are:
Journey to Silius Blaster Master Batman Ducktales Any of the Mega Man games but of course most notably 2 and 3
Final Fantasy 2 and 3 (or 4 and 6 if your picky about it) Secret of Mana Soul Blazer ActRaiser Donkey Kong Country series Mighty Morphin Power Rangers (amazing soundtrack and game for the snes if youve never played it)
Aladdin (Genesis one is great, snes one is just kind of alright) Thunder Force series Lightening force (no that is not a typo haha) Streets of Rage series not so much the entire game but the 2player vs song from Dr Robotniks Mean Bean Machine has some of the best double kick drum action and one of the most bad *bleep* songs on the genesis \m/ Rocket Knight Adventure Castlevania Bloodlines (for some reason i just find these versions of the classic castlevania tunes to be far superior to that of the outstanding Super Castlevania 4 soundtrack)

Totally gotta agree that MMPR had one of the best soundtracks on SNES! Especially that ending theme, oh man. Another great 16-bit beat 'em up with an excellent soundtrack is Maximum Carnage for the Genesis. I still rock out to that main theme all the time.
