I thought this be an interesting topic to start! Go ahead, show of some of your best finds from the wild! What did you get them for? Where did you find them? Maybe we all could learn some thrift dwelling tips! =D (shameless plug to my youtube channel!) Someone on Winnipeg Retro Game Buy and Sell Facebook Group was looking for these, so I decided to shoot a picture for him. These were found at a Salvation Army Thrift Store! The clerk said there was a pile of "loose discs" they were going to throw out. I got these for $0.25 each. I made some reproduction covers from www.thecoverproject.net I personally like and perfer these reproduction covers! They look great if you had a bunch on a shelf in DVD cases.

Hey everyone, Hempknight420 here, some of you guys might know me off the thriftdwellers or retro gamers winnipeg facebook page as Maxx. So ive had a couple of really excellent scores over the 5 years ive been collecting. I find its a little harder for me to find games as I put a cap on my spending at around $5 bucks a game (unless of course its an amazing deal on some rare game). So there were actually 2 seperate occasions where I was able to score a ton of games for around $2 a piece. The first occasion ill mention was a very panicky and stressful day as I had seen an ad on kijiji that listed boxes and boxes of video games that was located out close to Teulon, Manitoba. Of course the really nice and friendly couple that put up the ad had alot of responses but only me and this other guy had made plans to go out and see the games as they were not interested in bringing them into the city to meet with so many different people so they just wanted to sell us box lots. My girlfriend and I were the first ones to arrive and of course I was trying to keep my cool and show my damn poker face. but the moment I walked onto their porch and saw the boxes, I was completely blown away. I did not realize how much stuff he would have, of course I was doing a quick terminator scan on everything to see where the value was but they did insist that i wait for the other guy to show up before i start really going through things. They were a really great couple who used to own a video store out in teulon which all this stuff came from and they were actually awesome enough to keep the boxes intact and to use stickers that could come off. Now at first I was a bit worried how they wanted us to split up the games, essentially the wife had split all the boxes up with different games and they wanted me and the other guy to pick a box at a time and sell us whatever was in their. which of course is always risky but definitely the fairest way they could do it. well low and behold after an hour of waiting this guy no showed, no phone call or email so they allowed me to pick out anything i wanted. I managed to negotiate him down to $2 a game and 130 games later i picked up everything for $230 (he threw in stuff with what i picked up). there was definitely alot of filler titles but did manage to score a bunch of sega cd games. however these are just a few of the memorable game and of course i saved the best one for last, this gem needs to be in everyones collection and by far the most manliest game ive ever played. Playing this game will make you sprout facial hair instantly and that game is.... just *Bleep*ing with you guys, actually this game was my best pick up of that year

I'ld love to have the CIB Barbie for real! =D $230 is a solid deal for sure for that many boxed games! Funny matt (64BitMatthew) and my friend Lester tried playing my copy Zombie Nation. It just confused and frustrated us, especially since we just lasted 4 minutes max per stage! =D maybe we picked the hardest level first? lol. Solid deal there! Guess it goes to show you never know where a good deal would turn up?

Thanks for sharing dude! There are a few rare but fun games that come to mind thought - Little Samson and Cowboy Kid, but there are the crappy games that are "rare": Chiller, Zombie Nation, that Mermaid game... lol, yah, price has no baring on fun factor, maybe that's why i've paid less attention to value? =D

I'd love to get the Lunar games on SegaCD. I know I had The Silver Star at some point, but don't know what happened to it. It was my older brother's, so I'm sure he has it somewhere. And the CoverProject is an awesome site.

I had just completed a play through of the PSP Version of Lunar. My god 25 cents is a steal. I think my best deal ever and for a while will be when I stumbled upon some SNES games for $2 a piece Super Metroid,MMX3 and a few others included.

Found a few PS1 games yesterday. I'm keeping Suikoden but already have the others. I'll trade Suikoden 2 for a complete copy of The Misadventures of Tron Bonne but am open to other offers.
