A Winner is You!
Thanks to the newly formed RGCW Planning Committee for meeting! It was an awesome first meet, a lot of great ideas came up (which we'll keep secret for now), great energy and fellowship. Smitty's Lounge has never been cooler! Special thanks to UnderMedium for joining us that night as well! Ed and I walked away very happy from that meeting, I believe more now than ever that we can get this group lifted off the ground and do some good for Winnipeg.

We got 2 new forum moderators Jason (Komodos) and Jordan (KernelKool). They'll be helping to do all the moderation duties as well as helping us grow and promote this forum! Along with our designer friend Gary (SleepyHero), we'll be continually revamping the forum to making it awesome and more accessible for our members! Our goal - find $6 monthly so we can upgrade and post pics on our forum.
April 5th 2014 - Our first event in support of Light House Mission (winnipeg's longest running homeless shelter). We'll be thinking of the official name and announcing it soon! It will be from 11am-9pm. We'll be hosting vendors (FOR REALLY CHEAP TABLE RENTAL PRICES), an huge retro game lounge, some RGCW 1Life and Speed-Run challenges for prizes, tournaments hosted by ChipDamage and maybe even a tournament of our own! There'll be MORE announcements regarding attractions to come! Supplies and a portion of the proceeds go to Light House Mission and for our future charity events!
Anyone who knows potential events sponsors or vendors (or someone who wants to get involved with the event) can be directed to our site www.retrogamerswinnipeg.blogspot.com where we've updated the site to include an events and Vendor/Sponsor section. Check it out!
Pictures for the night can be found on retrogamerswinnipeg.blogspot.ca/2013/11/rgcwinnipegs-official-planning.html
Thanks for everyone's support! It was great to re-meet and connect everyone! WE CAN DO IT!
