Just to keep everyone up to date, I had a meeting with PNP Games today to talk about our goals and a potential partnership. It was a great meeting, we got some valuable information I want to share with everyone at our first planning event. Most importantly, we have their support. Apparently we know our stuff, we have a solid plan (again, I will share it in the future) and can talk on an ongoing basis about our future events. They've offered their support for our November Awareness online campaign, I should be receiving confirmation on some prizes they're sending our way. In return, they'll be our sponsors for our online faces. In the future, we will meet more for our future projects, especially for our first 2014 "gamer swap". For those who don't know PNP Games is Winnipeg's leading source for retro video games in the city. They've just opened their third location in the St.Vital area. Their reach and clout are key for the success of this project and eventually, towards our ultimate goal of Winnipeg's FIRST retro video game convention. We anticipate further support ongoing and thank them for their support! Thank you to everyone who has supported RGCWinnipeg since the beginning! You're key to the success of RGCWinnipeg and we'll continue to need your support, stay tuned to the forum for future updates.

way to go N8!!
This is a great first step. PnP Games is definitely the biggest source of retail retro titles in Winnipeg. We can probably get even more supprt from other venues as well. Hyperkin comes to mind since they are now a medium sized company that still considers themselves small. They are known to help out in these types of events to promote there products. A Retron 5 or a Supaboy would be a pretty high end door prize =D

This is awesome news! PNP Games has always been one of my favorite stores to visit when I go to Winnipeg, so to have them on board with this project is really cool.

Ladies and gentlemen, IT HAS BEGUN!!
But seriously, this is a great first step for the RGC and I hope we can get more sponsors in the future! Hmmm...I am pretty good friends with the people who work at "Planet Of Sound". *rubs hands together menacingly*
