Hey Everybody... I know we are here because we all liek gaming but I would like to know what are some other hobbies everybody enjoys gaming?

There's a few things I've been into other than gaming (althugh gaming does over take my life lol) Magic the Gathering - before gaming, this took a lot of my cash. I still play it casually today, but just w/ friends. The more competitive I got the more disappointed I got since usually the more expensive deck wins. Still, a fun game, but I think it's become a B$@sterdized version of it's self (like it sold itself out) Board Games - My alter ego is " Thriftdweller Nate" on youtube. I got the thrift a lot and one thing i've been lookin' for is board games (shout out jimcon). Started playing chess again (on my LOTR set). I also got into risk, deck building games like Munchkin and even Resident Evil Deck Building Game!!! Kickboxing - I love KB, it's a great stress relief. Recently I've had to stop due to injury, but I'm heading back soon. I've been in and out of KB (kickboxing) over past few years. Even was training for a fight until I got injured. Try it some time! This is a great topic! =D |

This is a great topic! =D I used to play magic but really cant get into it, mainly for the reason I dont want to spend the money on cards. A former co-worker of mine is one of the people that runs jimcon. As for boardgames, risk is ALWAYS a good time, but I really enjoy settlers of catan. Fun resource collecting game. (wouldnt think I would ever say that ever). I actually did mauy thai for a bit as well as ninjitsu but I have back issues so I really cant do it too much. Once a year or so I do rushfit to get back into shape quickly or I go to the pool. As for my other hobbies, I am really into music (mainly hard rock/metal although I liek everything but country). So back in May, I always wanted to pick up a musical instrument again so I decided to start drumming. Just the fact of multi tasking to the extreme is just an awesome thought to have. I do double bass so each one of my limbs is doing something different. I would have never thought I would stick with it as much as I have but its loads of fun! |

HAHAHAHA... I would jam but i am not bringing my drumset! It was a pain to get it home in a 2 door honda. Next meeting, Ill make sure to bring some magic cards and we should play settlers. I learned how to play when I was at comic con with a buddy of mine and its surprisingly fun! Have you heard of Game Knight on Osborne? Its a place where they sell boardgames and they have nights where you can just go down there and learn to play different games. |

I've had a lot of hobbies in the past. Did a lot of pen and paper role playing games back in the day... mostly Rifts and AD&D. Started playing MTG back in Ice Age and have been a back and forth player lol I still play to this day but I only use proxy(printed) cards just for the sake of playing not collecting. Of course I don't need to mention retro gaming lol

Before I got into videogames, I used to buy and sell project cars, mostly imports. But then I found videogames, which took up less space and money lol. Like a few other members have mentioned, I too like board games, though for me its mostly monopoly and risk. Sometimes I pick up variations of the two, such as star wars, lord of the rings, spongebob, etc. But between work, family life and videogames, it seems I dont have much free time for anything else lol.

Like I play a "mighty mighty morpher" deck or a Resident Evil Zombie deck (i want to take my zombie cards and designate them "Wesker" or "Nemesis") God i'm such a nerd! =D |
